Market Area - In the heart of town.

galleries, restaurants, pubs. 'Pub Street' and
'Pub Street Alley.' Popular tourist area.
Sivatha Blvd. - One of Siem
Reap's main roads running north/south through
the heart of town and past the Old Market Area.
Lots of shops, restaurants, pubs, hotels.
Wat
Bo Area - One of the original budget
traveler areas, now a mix of budget and mid-range
places. Near the center of town but off the
main roads so a bit quieter. Restaurants, guesthouses,
hotels.
Riverside - The placid Siem
Reap River runs north/south through the center
of town.
Wat Po Lanka Area - Just north
of the Wat Bo area on the north side of Route
#6. In the heart of town but still a comparatively
undeveloped, quiet area.
Wat
Damnak Area - Quiet area on the east
side of the river opposite the Old Market area.
Off the main roads but within walking distance
of the Old Market.
Airport Road Area - Route #6
west of town between the airport and town. Lots
of 3 and 4-star hotels. Convenient to the airport.
3-minute tuk-tuk ride into town.
Phsar Leu Area - Phsar Leu
is the traditional Cambodian market about 2km
east of town on Route #6. It's a 5 minute tuk-tuk
ride to town center.
Old
French Quarter - The green heart of
Siem Reap town. Where many of the old French
colonial buildings and the Royal Residence of
Siem Reap is located. Bordered by the river,
the Old Market, Sivatha and Route #6.
Ta
Phul Area - Ta Phul Village and Ta
Phul Road west of Sivatha Blvd. A mix of budget
and mid-range places off the main roads. Within
walking distance of the Old Market area.
Road
to Angkor Wat - Angkor Wat is about
5 kilometers north of town. Restaurants and
hotels dot the first couple of kilometers of
the road from town to the temples. It's about
a 5-minute tuk-tuk ride south to the Old Market
or a 10-minute ride north to Angkor Wat.
